About the business and the role

Since 2009, Lady Lash has been known as Sydney’s premier destination for lashes. We live, breathe and LOVE lashes, and many of our lash stylists are national and international award winners. We are looking for a capable, energetic and friendly salon coordinator to lead our busy NEWTOWN team and to run day-to-day salon operations.

Job tasks and responsibilities

This role is perfect for an energetic, positive, organised people-person. You will run the day-to-day operations and be the face of Lady Lash at our flagship Newtown salon.

Some of your tasks and responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring clients have a positive experience from the moment they contact us onwards
  • Front of house duties including phone enquiries, making bookings, emailing clients, start and end of day procedures, and banking
  • Controlling the appointment schedule using a computerised booking and POS system
  • Stock management and maintaining retail displays
  • Ensuring the salon is looking it’s very best at all times – ensuring OH&S and hygiene/health guidelines are being followed, managing cleaners and other maintenance contractors
  • Rostering and running a time-efficient bookings schedule
  • Regular communications with other key business personnel/managers across our 3 locations
  • Creating and following efficient administration processes
  • Working closely with our training manager to coordinate regular training and education sessions
  • Assistance with social media projects
  • Helping team members to perform and meet organisational and individual goals

Skills and experience

  • You must have a minimum of 3 years experience managing a team or coordinating front of house operations in a salon
  • Extremely high level of customer service and a warm, helpful manner
  • Strong business acumen (driven by targets & KPI’s)
  • Roster and bookings management using scheduling software
  • Experience with stock management and ordering
  • Tech savvy – good computer skills
  • The ability to manage people & achieve results through your team
  • Excellent phone manner, organisation + time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage and inspire a team
  • The ability to think on your feet, problem solve and work under pressure
  • Qualifications and/or experience in beauty therapy and/or eyelash extensions highly regarded, but not essential
