What is brow lamination?

Brow Lamination involves straightening the brow hairs upwards to create a brushed up, fluffy effect. It’s perfect for those who have brow hairs that curl or grow in irregular directions, have gaps because of this, or who simply want a fuller brushed up look. This treatment is great for messy brows, and for brows that (whilst having hair) are patchy or need width, as it creates naturally voluminous brows lasting around 6 weeks.

How does Brow Lamination work?

Brow Lamination is a three-step process that includes two different keratin solutions (similar to a Lash Lift) and one oil treatment to ensure the brows remain healthy. The brow is brushed and glued into the desired shape and the first solution is left on for around 10 minutes. Lady Lash uses professional, dermatologically tested products only, with longer processing times, to ensure the brows are not over processed and remain healthy during and after the treatment.

The second step is then applied, which secures the hairs in their new brushed up position and balances the skin and hairs pH levels.

At this point, tinting or henna will be applied, and any additional trimming (if required – generally we shape the brows first, but refinement may be needed at the end)

The final step is to apply a nourishing argan oil treatment which will hydrate the hairs and keep them nourished for 24 hours.

Brow lamination is not suitable for all brow types. It is best suited to those with a reasonably full brows – sparse brows do not allow for great results. If you’re unsure, you can SMS or email us a photo of your brows for a consultation! There are plenty of other treatments on offer here (tints, henna, cosmetic tattoo and microblade) for those with sparse brows, wanting to achieve a fuller brow look.

We cannot perform Brow Lamination if:

  • Your patch test shows redness, soreness, raised bumps on the skin or is particularly itchy – all of these are signs of a sensitivity or allergy
  • You have had an allergic reaction to any form of lash lift solution, tint or dye previously
  • You have any sign of eczema, infection, dry skin, cuts, sunburn or scabbing in the brow area.
  • You have had a recent brow lamination and the brows still appear lifted (after 4-6 weeks all good to go again!)
  • You have had brow tattoo or microblade done in the prior 6 weeks
