We often get asked these 2 questions about our lash lift and how they work.
Firstly – “Why does it take so long? I’ve seen that some salons do it in 20-30 minutes?” (our lash lift + tint service takes one hour)
Generally speaking, faster-acting lift solutions contain harsher, acidic ingredients which can easily result in frizzled, kinked lashes.
Our lift system of choice, Elleeplex Profusion is slightly slower due to a new delivery system where stronger ingredients have been removed to ensure there is no over processing / burning of the lashes. The revolutionary system is gentle enough to be used as a brow lamination solution as well. It contains NO thioglycolic acid – which if left on for too long, can result lashes that look twisted and not nicely curled – or in worst case scenario, broken.
It’s not always possible to tell by looking at eyelashes how strong they are – as some lashes, though thick and glossy in appearance, can be very porous and process quickly. Others can be left to process longer, but we’d rather play it safe with a gentle, nourishing solution for a perfect, glossy looking lash lift! Profusion also infuses the lashes with a strengthening treatment of amino acid technology and plant extracts, conditioning as it lifts.
We love our lifts – and we want them to be absolutely PERFECT – with no kinky, dehydrated lashes weeks down the track. A lift should last 6-8 weeks – so we think it’s worth spending the extra time on them. We also leave our tints on a little longer too, to ensure your lashes are super dark.
With Profusion, as it’s so gentle and effective, you can have lifts more frequently without any detriment to your natural lashes – usually about 6 weeks later.
And lastly – do you need to take any special care of your lifted lashes?
A little – firstly, keep them dry and try not to touch them for the first 24 hours (to ensure that they set into their new shape properly without any interruption)
Like most beauty treatments (skin care, hair dye, lash extensions) the results look better and last longer if you follow on with proper homecare. We recommend using Elleeplex Advanced Aftercare treatment daily on your lifted lashes. We apply this serum as a finishing product on your lashes at the conclusion of your lash lift also.
Applied easily like mascara, it’s enriched with proteins, amino acids and vitamin complex ingredients such as keratin, biotin, arginine, hydrolysed collagen, allantoin and panthenol to keep your lashes in tip top shape!
