Yes, you absolutely can still have lashes at a more mature age. Many of our existing regular clients are 55+ and love maintaining their lashes.

Here, we’ve answered some of the most common questions our clients like to understand before coming in for their maiden set of lashes.

The length and thickness of the extensions we apply is completely up to you. This means that if you’d like a subtle, more natural look, we can achieve that for you – all our lash sets are customised depending on the look you’re trying to achieve and your own natural lashes.
Typically for mature lashes, we do recommend a natural style – at least to begin with – this way you can learn how to look after the lashes and be sure you’ve found the right style for you before you add more or go for a more dramatic look down the track.
At your first appointment with us, you will have a consultation with your stylist who will discuss your preferred options in terms of style, length and thickness of the lashes. We’ll show you some pictures of similar lash sets and styles, and your stylist will make a recommendation for you, based on your natural lashes and the shape of your eyes and face.
Depending on the set you decide on, your lash appointment will last between 60 minutes and 2hrs. Our ‘Natural Set’ will take 75 minutes and this is the most common set requested by clients trying lashes for the first time, this set takes between 75 and 90 minutes.
You will lie down and have your eyes closed for the duration of the appointment. We’ll make sure you are comfortable with any props you might need to relax, such as a bolster under your knees or a blanket to keep you warm. Yes, you can expect to fall asleep – most clients have a “lash nap” during this time.
Typically, our clients return for an infill 3 weeks after their first appointment. It is up to you how soon/ if at all you return. Beyond 4 weeks, we would consider the appointment a full set again. Of course, infills are cheaper than the full set.
When we apply the eyelash extensions, we are putting a single extension on a single natural lash (classic lashes) or, if you opt for the more dramatic hybrid or volume lashes, we apply a small handmade fan of lashes to an individual natural lash. The extension attaches to your natural lash permanently with a microscopic dot of glue, and as your natural lash grows and eventually sheds, the eyelash extension will fall out with the natural lash, still attached. This is very normal – as with any hair on your body, the eyelashes grow and shed and new ones grow underneath. When your lashes shed, it’s time to have an infill.
