The team of lash stylists behind Lady Lash have done it again, placing in four different categories for this year’s Australian and NZ Lash Championships. Competing against hundreds of technicians throughout Australia and New Zealand, Lady Lash came out with two 1st Place and two 3rd Places across various divisions in the lash competition, with results announced on the 3rd of January.

The 2D-3D Volume (experienced) category was won by Newtown’s Rosie Nguyen, whilst Izzy Bowditch from our Gosford Salon also placed 1st in the Classic (beginner) category with an amazing set of lashes. Parramatta salon’s Karolina scored third place in the 2D-3D Volume (beginner) category, and creative director Charlotte returned to lashes after a long time out of the game, to win 3rd Place in the Classic (experienced) division!

“In 2016, Lady Lash was thrilled to have three talented stylists win at this prestigious competition, so to take out some titles again was absolutely wonderful – and unexpected!” said creative director Charlotte Creasey.

“The level of competition was again very high this year, and I’m so pleased that we placed well amongst such talented artists,” said Charlotte. “All of our lash artists worked closely with their models to create some truly stunning lashes, and had a lot of fun in the process particularly in the creative division”.

The online competition, hosted by Multi-Award Winning Pixie Ambler from Pixie Lash Artistry, focused on technical aspects of lash application as well as overall look. Judges including the U.K’s Rachel Bridges, Ruthie Belle from Estonia, prominent lash educators Hilaree Brand and Trina Dial Horne from the USA, as well as Australia’s very own Kimberley Haworth (plus many others) closely examined each photo entry, looking for isolation, precision and lash attachment.

“Competitions are a great chance for our stylists to show off their skills in a new environment, and have their work judged by some of the worlds most influential lash educators” said Charlotte. “Thanks to Pixie and the organisers of this year’s championships for bringing together such an amazing community of dedicated lash enthusiasts!”

Once again, the Australian and New Zealand Lash Championships has been a roaring success, showing off the wonderful talents of stylists in a rapidly growing beauty industry. At Lady Lash, we can’t wait to see what 2018 will bring!
